Dataspace Ecosystem Events
Dataspace ecosystem events are credibility channels, not primary pipeline sources. The exception is Tractus-X, which serves a dual purpose: credibility for the Participant persona, active pipeline for the Builder persona.

Tractus-X Community Days (27/35)
What: Stuttgart, Jul 2-3, hosted by Eclipse/Catena-X/ARENA2036. Stated audience: developers, solution architects, product managers.
Why it matters: This event requires persona-specific treatment. The stated audience does not include budget-holding CIOs.
Dual-Persona Treatment
For the Participant persona (Mittelstand suppliers forced into Catena-X): this event is credibility-only. Participants here are technical; decision-makers are elsewhere (VDA Mittelstandstag, automotiveIT Kongress).
For the Builder persona (engineering teams at ZF, Bosch, BMW choosing production connector management): Tractus-X IS pipeline. The Battery Pass Viewer App, currently the only DPP application operational at large scale, was co-authored by organizations that all face a make-or-buy decision on production connector infrastructure.
What to Do
- Attend as community participant, not vendor. No selling.
- Identify Battery Pass Viewer App contributor organizations facing make-or-buy on production connector management
- Pitch to Builder persona: “We run 150+ EDC connectors in MDS production. Let us run yours.”
- Target: engineering leads and solution architects via GitHub contributor lists pre-event
- Use LinkedIn for identifying attendee organizations and booking informal meetings, not for outbound selling
- Collect competitor intelligence (Sovity, T-Systems, MHP positioning)
What to Skip
Vendor posturing. The community ethos is collaborative; overt selling damages trust and credibility.
Data Spaces Symposium (22/35)
The 2026 edition (Madrid, Feb 10-11) has passed. Key takeaway: PwC’s post-event analysis identified “Who Onboards the Millions?” as the defining scaling challenge.
Next edition: estimated February 2027. This is the first post-GA credibility opportunity for pan-European positioning. 1,000+ participants at the 2026 edition; T-Systems, Airbus, Ford, PwC present.
Action: Submit a speaking proposal for the 2027 edition once GA case studies exist. Frame around the onboarding-at-scale problem PwC identified.
Why to Skip Gaia-X (15/35)
Gaia-X Summit (Vienna, Nov 19-20) scores lowest of all evaluated channels.
Three independent critical assessments document over EUR 200M in government funding with no concrete implementations. The evidence:
- “Chronicle of a failure foretold” (Eurostack Directory analysis)
- “Gaia-X is a distraction which should be abandoned” (Bert Hubert’s technical assessment)
- Structural governance critique documenting organizational paralysis
Bottom line: Spend zero budget. Gaia-X creates no pipeline, no credibility that translates to buyer decisions, and no partner opportunities that are not better accessed through Tractus-X, IDSA, or sector-specific channels.
The dataspace ecosystem credibility Kaphera needs comes from Tractus-X (technical community), Catena-X (certification), and production deployments (150+ MDS connectors), not from policy-layer summits.
